Anybody can foster. Whether you live in a one-room apartment or a mansion anybody can have time to foster even if you work! Kittens are jelly beans in a bag so they're really easy to sneak around. I sneak onto lunch, the grocery store, the movies, anywhere I go. Ask your boss and they stay under your desk the whole day and then you take him out every few hours to feed and it makes a huge impact on saving lives.

Riley Craig
Hi I'm Riley! My goal is to make our world a better and safer place for the tiniest felines. Orphaned kittens are being euthanized every year because of lack of staffing, resources, and the biggest of all FOSTER HOMES.
So how does a kitten with a mom become orphaned?
Kittens 99% of the time are picked up by well meaning people thinking they are alone when really the mother is right around the corner. Of course their is always that time when the mother could have ran away or got ran over by a car. This is when we should take action and bring a kitten into foster care. If a kitten looks well kept and fed at least wait 2-3 hours to see if the mother does return. Nobody is better at taking care of kittens then their own mama.
So what do I need?
When caring for kittens it can become a struggle if you don't have the right supplies. So here is a list of some things you may want to get (all things can be found on amazon)
0-2 weeks old: top opening carrier, or tote, 3cc syringe, miracle nipple mini, snuggle safe, snuggle kitty, baby blanket, kitten formula, tissues (to make them pee), baby wipes.
3-4 weeks old: shallow litterbox, yesterdays news (unclumping litter), small playpen, baby blanket, small bed, small toys, kitten bottle, kitten formula, miracle nipple, baby wipes.
5-8 weeks old:toys, large playpen or spare kitten proof room, large litter box, unclamping litter, wet food, shallow dishes, water, bed, scratching post.
When kittens reach 8 weeks old/2 pounds they can be spayed or neutered and then adopted out into loving furever homes!
About Me
Foster mom
I have always had a thing for kittens. After having 5 cats over the years, I finally found out about fostering by watching Hannah Shaw (kitten lady) on YouTube. I also respect animals so much that I'm a vegatarian. I hope to go vegan in the future.
Excuses I hear
I don't have enough room to foster- Kittens do not take up that much space.
I am allergic- kittens do not have dander
I am too busy- kittens are very easy to sneak around.
They take up to much time- is 2 minutes every 2 hours a lot of time.
"Fight for the little guys."
